Z-Day: The InfectedOn December 21, 2012 of the Roman Calender around 1300 hours, an epidemic like nothing the world had ever seen before broke out. The virus induced rage, memory loss, and zombie-like qualities. The virus, deemed "Virus Z9525345235" called T-Virus, Rage Virus, Super Rabies, It, Ramero's Virus, or sometimes, simply "The Virus". Virus 2012 is the most used by survivors. Virus 2012 is blood-bourne, and can be spread through bites that break the skin and enter the bloodstream. Fire swamped the city. The smoke rose into the sky, covering the city, reflecting the glow of the flames and turning the sky a hellish red. The Infected could be seen nearly every where you looked. Gunshots and screaming were few and far between now. The snarls of the Infected grew louder and louder. Over turned and crashed cars were strewn in the streets. Bodies lay like litter in the gutters. Graffiti spouting sayings like "Welcome to Hell" and "The Hero has turned" were common among the walls. SOS signs could be seen in the distance, sometimes covered in blood, with bodies to match.
